About ScrutnLearn

Independent, practical learning for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AL development.

Our Story and Mission

ScrutnLearn is an independent learning site focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AL development.

We turn ERP concepts, implementation decisions, and AL code into focused lessons that explain the business problem as well as the technical steps.

ScrutnLearn is an independent educational website for people learning Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV concepts, and AL extension development.

The tutorials were created to close a common gap between object-by-object syntax references and the work a developer or functional learner must complete in an ERP scenario. A lesson should tell you what problem an object solves, what to prepare, what result to inspect, and where product version or configuration can change that result.

ScrutnLearn is not a Microsoft website or a substitute for Microsoft Learn. We link to first-party documentation for product rules and write our own scenarios and explanations around those rules.

How We Teach

Clear & Practical Learning

We simplify complex topics into clear, structured explanations that are easy to apply, especially for beginners and working professionals.

Business Central Context

Pages connect AL objects to finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, service, manufacturing, and project workflows so code is not presented without its ERP purpose.

Step-by-Step Tutorials

Tutorials follow a logical flow and explain both how a task works and why the implementation choice matters.

Review & Corrections

Strengthened tutorials identify scope, expected result, version boundary, a named author, and an authoritative Microsoft reference. Readers can email correction requests.

Kumar Devashish is Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate. He holds an MCA qualification and brings 10+ years of professional technology experience, including practical work with Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV/Navision, Azure, SQL, and .NET.
